Non Executive Director

Michael Stevenson

Michael was appointed as a Non Executive Director to the Trust Board in April 2012 with a term of office for 3 years.

Michael is currently Vice President of Global Education for Cisco Systems. He is responsible for developing education strategy and leading implementation in countries across the world. Before joining Cisco, Michael worked in government, where he was CIO and Director of Technology at the Department for Education and Skills in England. Michael started his career as a graduate trainee at the BBC and was the founding editor of the flagship political TV program “On the Record”. He went on to become BBC Secretary, Director of Education and Director of Factual and Learning.

Qualifications: MA in Classics Oxford University
