People can and do recover from a psychotic episode and the EARLIER you get help the better.
Your care co-ordinator will help you IDENTIFY ways to COPE with symptoms and difficulties you have.
Learn to COPE with stress and try to avoid conflict as much as possible. Use relaxation and breathing techniques to help in stressful situations.
Create a PLAN of what you would like to be done if you should become unwell again.
Get ACTIVE - be more active and start going out and seeing friends again, GRADUALLY
Employment & Volunteering – We as a service can help you find employment whether it be paid or unpaid and help you to access college courses.
AVOID DRUGS & ALCOHOL - They are both depressants.
Lots of RELAXATION; Learn deep breathing exercises, go for walks, listen to calming music
Social Group - We run a weekly social group which provides a safe and welcoming environment to meet new people. The group do various activities and it can help you to know what is available in your local area.
Remember to take your prescribed MEDICATION until your doctor agrees otherwise. You will have regular reviews to discuss talk about your medication.
