FoCUS was set up in 2006 as part of the Trust's Vision and Values to be open, inclusive and accountable and ensure people who use services and their carers are at the heart of what the Trust does and how we go about doing it.
Joining our Forum of Carers and people who Use Services is one way of having your say about the way we do things and helping us improve services. There is the opportunity to meet up with other people who use services and carers and to get involved in our work.
The Area Groups meet regularly to provide people who use services and carers with an opportunity to hear about what is happening in the Trust, feedback their comments and to have their say about any issues that are concerning them regarding the health and social care of people with mental health problems and learning disabilities.
There are four Area Groups and you are welcome to join whichever one is most convenient for you.
Notes from each Area Group meeting are uploaded here so you can keen up with latest discussions even if you can't always make it to the meetings. Flyers advertising forthcoming meeting dates, times and venues are also here.
Members of each Area Group elect Area Representatives to join the Trust Directors in the FoCUS Committee. This meets every three months to discuss suggestions and questions from Area Group meetings and to review Trust strategies and reports and set standards to make sure that the Trust is:
