NHS Professionals manage the Trust’s bank and are the primary provider of temporary and flexible nursing, admin and clerical staff to the Trust.

Joining NHS Professionals

Bank only – for non-Trust employees, ex-Trust employees/leavers  
Please apply for bank shifts online at www.nhsprofessionals.nhs.uk . This is an applicant lead process so please check your emails regularly (including your junk box) and respond as quickly as possible.

Substantive Staff – for Trust employees
Did you know that if you work for Surrey and Borders as a nurse, health care support worker or in an admin or clerical role you can work additional hours through NHS Professionals?  This allows you to earn extra money and gain experience outside your contracted area of work.

Joining is easy:

On completion of your application pack and submission of your documents to a member of the local team, you’ll be on the system and able to do shifts within 10 days of your application being received by the Recruitment team.

The National Service Centre is open 24 hours a day seven days a week.

Local Office
The local NHS Professionals office is based in the Education Centre at Farnham Road Hospital in Guildford.  It is open Monday to Friday 8am-4pm.  However, we advise that you make an appointment as the office is not always manned.
