We are now a smokefree Trust!

On 2nd October, we became a smokefree Trust. Click here for more information.

From 2nd October onwards, we will be asking people not to smoke tobacco products in any of our buildings or grounds, including community and inpatient car parks and gardens with the aim to improve people’s health and well-being and save lives.

Much work and preparation has gone in to ensuring we are ready to provide smokefree services, including engagement and workshops, support sessions, staff training and even a life-size cigarette roaming the grounds of some of our hospitals promoting the importance of a healthy physical lifestyle!

If you would like support to quit smoking, please contact Quit 51, our local stop smoking service: visit www.quit51.co.uk or call 0800 622 6968. You can also speak to your GP who will be able to direct you to the relevant support.

For more information on how our services will impact you, look out for a Care 2 Quit leaflet in one of our services or visit www.sabp.nhs.uk/quit.

If you would like any more information, please view our smokefree policy on our website.

We also now have two dedicated stop smoking advisors operating across the Trust. Emily Lucocq and Sally Jalasi, who are part of the Physical Health team, will be visible across all of our locations overseeing the rollout of the Care 2 Quit project and supporting you if you would like to stop smoking.

For more information please contact Emily Lucocq or Sally Jalasi or email care2quit@sabp.nhs.uk.
