A huge thank you to all who donated gifts to our Care Leavers this Christmas

Our Care Leavers team were blown away by the generosity of local organisations, Trust staff and members of the public.

Our CAMHS Care Leavers service would like to say a huge thank you to all the local organisations, groups, members of the public and Trust staff who generously donated gifts so that vulnerable young people in Surrey have presents to open on Christmas Day.

The gifts were donated to young people who use our Mindsight Surrey CAMHS Care Leavers service. The service supports people with emerging to moderate mental health problems who are going through the tricky process of leaving care. Young people who use the service are often experiencing difficult thoughts, emotions or behaviours and may be facing other challenges in their lives such as problems with alcohol, drugs or homelessness.

Suzanne Cain, Service Manager, said: “It has been a truly heart-warming response from so many different groups of people and organisations. We can’t thank everyone enough, and we hope that the gift bags brighten the Christmases of a group of young people who otherwise may have been forgotten about.”

Thanks to the staggering generosity of the following organisations and people, the Care Leavers team were able to put together a Christmas gift bag for all the young people who will be using the service over Christmas!
