The campaign is run by the Patients Association and its aim is to ensure that everyone who goes into hospital or a care home receives fundamental aspects of care.
To help achieve this, the Patients Association has established four essential standards that the public should expect from all care settings, based on the main complaints they receive about poor care.
The four CARE standards are;
Jo Young, Director of Quality (Nurse Director) said, "I know these are standards that our staff work hard to achieve and I am confident in pledging our commitment to them. However, as people can use them to challenge poor care, we need to bear them in mind at all times and continue our good work in these areas."
