Earlier weekday openings for Redhill Safe Haven until Friday 20 April

For a three-month trial period, the Redhill mental health Safe Haven is opening an hour earlier to help ease pressure on primary care and A&E at this busy time of year.

The Redhill mental health Safe Haven will be opening one hour earlier for a three month trial period to help ease pressure on primary care and A&E services at this particularly busy time of year.

From today, Tuesday 30 January, until Friday 20 April 2018, the Redhill Safe Haven (at Wingfield Resource Centre, St Annes Drive RH1 1AU) will be opening at the earlier time of 5pm instead of 6pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend and bank holiday openings times will remain 6pm -11pm.

The Safe Haven is an NHS funded service which offers a friendly environment for anyone struggling to cope with their mental health to have an informal chat with a professional without needing to pre-book an appointment or phone ahead. It can also serve as an alternative to A&E for people experiencing a mental health crisis.

The Redhill Safe Haven is provided by a partnership between Reigate Stepping Stones, Richmond Fellowship, and Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and funded by NHS East Surrey Clinical Commissioning Group. The earlier opening times trial has been made possible from funding awarded by NHS England.
