Children and Family Health Surrey nurse wins prestigious award

Congratulations to Katrina Sealey who won the Rising Star award at this year's Nursing Times Awards

A school nurse employed by Children and Family Health Surrey has won the Rising Star award at this year’s Nursing Times awards.

Katrina Sealey, who supports schools in Epsom, Ewell and Banstead, took home the award due to her positive influence, leadership skills and exceptional qualities that embody the field of nursing.

Justine Leonard, Director of Children and Young People’s Services at our Trust, said: “I am thrilled that Katrina’s exceptional levels of commitment and professionalism have been recognised with the Rising Star award.

“She is a role model for others working in Surrey’s community health services for children and young people and this award proves she regularly goes above and beyond what is expected of her.”

The ceremony took place on Thursday 2 November and was held at the prestigious Grosvenor House, Park Lane. There were 23 categories in total recognising exceptional achievements in nursing.

Children and Family Health Surrey is a Surrey-wide NHS community health service for children and young people which is jointly provided by CSH Surrey, First Community Health and Care and our Trust.
