You're invited to our dementia open days

We invite you to learn more about our ground-breaking dementia study at our two open day events being held on 19th October in Guildford and 29th October in Redhill

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is thrilled to be leading a ground-breaking new dementia study, which will be the biggest of its kind in the UK.

The study - TIHM (Technology Integrated Health Management) for dementia - aims to improve the lives of people living with dementia and their carers.

We need 1400 people with dementia and their carers who live in Surrey and North East Hampshire to join the study. Therefore, we are inviting anyone who is interested in learning more to attend one of our open days.

  • Wednesday 19 October, 10am-3pm, G Live, Guildford, GU1 2AA
  • Saturday 29 October, 10am-3pm, The Harlequin Theatre, Redhill, RH1 1NN

The open days will provide the opportunity to talk to dementia experts from our Trust, Dementia Navigators from our partner, the Alzheimer's Society, and to see some of the technologies.

People keen to attend are being asked to register their place by emailing communications@sabp.nhs.uk.

More about the study

Smart technology will be placed in the homes of people with dementia to provide them and their carers with a new layer of support. The intention is to help clinicians remotely monitor someone’s health and wellbeing, allowing them to take prompt action to support someone if they are unsafe, ill or on the verge of becoming unwell.

If you would like to chat to someone in more detail please get in touch with our Research team on 01932 722247.
