Referral Process

All referrals are made to Windmill House via the i-access Drug and Alcohol Service who can be contacted on 0300 222 5932.

Referral Criteria

Clients need to be motivated and committed to making changes and ideally have started this process prior to referral and clients must be registered with a GP. Clients may be asked to attend a pre-admission assessment in Windmill House if there are concerns about their physical health or mental health, previous behaviour or events during previous admissions. Due to the nature of the unit there is a limit to the level of nursing and medical care we can offer and on occassion it is necessary to transfer particularly unwell clients to St Peter's Hospital for additional care.
