Community Forensic Mental Health

What we do

Our Community Forensic Service provides mental health assessment and advice to Police custody areas and magistrates courts.

Our team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and social workers provides advice and support about assessing and managing high-risk or complex behaviour

We work with both mental health and learning disability professionals and people who use our services and their carers . This is often in partnership with other  agencies including: prisons and the Criminal Justice System; specialist high, medium and low secure hospitals; multi-agency public protection arrangements (MAPPA); and private sector providers.
