Service Description

The EIIP Service works with all 14 – 35 year olds who:

  • Have had their first experience of psychosis within the last three years
  • Are at high risk of developing psychosis.

Its aim is to reduce the impact of the disorder for the individual and their families. The service is based on an assertive outreach model with the interventions being delivered alongside individuals in the community. The service will engage with individuals for up to three years and will prioritise strategies to provide an environment that promotes user involvement and recovery

The EIIP service works closely with hospitals, community mental health teams, child and adolescent mental health services, schools and colleges etc to encourage early referral.
