All welcome to dementia innovations event

Come along to our free event, Dementia Care Innovations, on Thursday 4 May, 11am-2pm, at St Mary’s Hall in Stoke D’Abernon

Our Trust is inviting people with dementia, their carers/families and members of the public to attend an informative and engaging event about how dementia is treated and diagnosed, as well as the innovative approaches being developed for future treatment.

According to Alzheimer’s Society, there are approximately 850,000 people with dementia in the UK; this is set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.

The event will include a presentation from an industry expert on managing techniques and dementia therapy, and will also include an informative talk from a representative of the Alzheimer’s Society, who will be providing details on support services that are available for people with dementia and their carers in Surrey.

Attendees will also be able to learn more about our ground-breaking dementia study, TIHM for dementia. The study, which is being run by our Trust, the Alzheimer’s Society and the University of Surrey, along with a number of other partners, aims to improve the lives of people living with dementia and their carers through the use of technology.

Attendees will also be able to explore a number of stands with representatives from community services, including Age UK, Alzheimer’s Society and Surrey Independent Living Council.

Refreshments will be provided. If you are interested in attending you can book a place through our membership and engagement team:
