Our services

Our Children and Young People's services offer a diverse range of working experiences in the community and in-patient settings across Surrey and North East Hampshire.

Surrey CAMHS sees all young people, up to their 18th birthday, regardless of educational status. As well as the community CAMHS teams, there is also a suite of other specialist teams, often working in parallel:

  • Crisis Team – for emergencies, including those that present at acute hospitals.

  • Hope Service – providing an intensive outreach service and a day programme for high risk young people

  • Extended Hope - an evening crisis service accessible by all, as well as Hope House, a unique short-stay residential unit for mental health crisis respite.

  • CAMHS Havens – crisis drop-in service.

  • Primary Mental Health Team

  • Early Intervention in Psychosis Team

  • Eating Disorders Service

  • CAMHS for Children with Learning Disabilities

  • Forensic CAMHS

  • Specialist CAMHS Teams for adopted and looked-after children, as well as young people who have experienced sexual trauma.

  • Mindful Service – outreach for young people who are otherwise difficult to access

  • CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) team

  • A number of CAMHS partner agencies also provide various services, including: counselling, drug and alcohol support, and ADHD parenting programmes.

The Developmental Paediatric Service

The Developmental Paediatric Service is a single front-end service which includes paediatrics, nursing, therapy, and mental health and wellbeing
services for infants, children and young people across Surrey and parts of North East Hampshire.

Our consultant-led and family-centered service is dedicated to helping children and young people to manage a wide range of developmental difficulties related to:

  • Developmental delay or disorder
  • Neurological disability
  • Autism spectrum disorder - under 6 years
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - under 6 years
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Severe learning difficulties and/ or complex needs

Children and Family Health Surrey has been providing NHS community services in Surrey since April 2017, and works in partnership with a range of organisations , investing time and money to develop high quality NHS services which provide care good enough for our own families. 

In Surrey, CFHS provides a comprehensive range of children’s services including:

  • Developmental paediatrics
  • Universal services (including health visitors and school nurses)
  • Therapy services
  • Community children’s nurses, paediatric specialist nurses, respite and domiciliary care services
