Service Description

Victoria Ward consists of 24 beds for older persons suffering from an acute mental health crisis - as a result of conditions such as depression and bi-polar disorder. We provide admission for persons in the South West Surrey district who are in need of short stay inpatient individual assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.

Referral Process

We accept referrals from Community Mental Health Services, psychiatrists, GPs, psychiatric liaison nurses at Royal Surrey County Hospital, community psychiatric nurses and Surrey and Borders ward managers if urgent.

Acute mental health problems where service users are a danger to themselves or others or under section of the Mental Health Act
