No matter how Step by Step are working with young people, whether they’re moving into a Foyer or Supported Lodgings placement, meeting with a Talent Coach, or seeing one of our Counsellors, our aim is consistent: to empower young people to move forward with their lives in a positive way.
Step by Step offers 6-8 counselling sessions for 11-25 year olds living in south west Surrey
Our Counsellors are trained and experienced in working with many different issues including stress, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, bullying, bereavement, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, friendship/relationship issues, self harm, eating disorders, feelings of not fitting in, exam worries and socialisation.

We only accept referrals from health, social care and education professionals.

Young people aged between 11-25, living in south west Surrey can access the service.
Young people who are having a hard time, struggling to cope or feeling stressed, anxious or down could benefit from counselling support.
Initial appointments are offered within 4 weeks. Following this, wait times are approximately 8 weeks
