Our Acute Therapy and Diversional Activities Service provides a combination of therapy programmes and leisure activities for people staying on Blake and Clare and wards. Our team also offers group work and individual contact opportunities to people being supported by the North West and South West Home Treatment Teams.
Team members include Diversional Activity Co-ordinators, a Psychologist and Psychology Assistants, an Occupational Therapist, Fitness and Wellbeing Instructor and Patient Liaison Worker.
The therapy groups we provide include Coping Skills, basic Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotions and Relationships, Coping with Psychosis, Art Therapy, Relaxation, Wellbeing and Recovery.
Our Fitness & Wellbeing Instructor offers gym and sport sessions utilising our fully equipped gym with exercise programmes tailored to individual needs. The team also undertakes individual assessments and 1:1 treatments.
People staying on the ward can join the leisure activities we offer throughout the week mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. These group sessions include creative writing, games nights, music sessions, art and craft, cooking and internet access amongst many others.
