What is the study about?

Determind looks into research about people living with dementia. It stands for Determinants of quality of life, care and costs, and consequences of inequalities in people with Dementia and their carers. The research aims to address unanswered questions on inequalities, outcomes and costs following diagnosis with dementia to improve quality of care and life.

Who can take part?

Anyone who has been diagnosed with any form of dementia within the past 6 months. 

What is involved?

There are interviews and a series of questionnaires assessing a range of topics for the person with dementia and their carer including exploration into quality of life. Participants will be contacted annually for 3 years to arrange follow-up visits.
