Telephone-based alcohol support sessions

Feel more in control of your drinking in as few as six sessions.

We can offer up to six 30-minute telephone sessions with an NHS alcohol specialist to help you reduce your alcohol intake and feel better.

These sessions are for ‘increasing risk’ and ‘higher risk’ drinkers – those who drink more than the recommended limit, but are not dependent on alcohol. They are open to anyone aged 18 years old and above living in Surrey who want to cut down and/or feel more in control of their drinking.

You can refer yourself for these sessions by contacting us on 0300 222 5932, 9am - 5pm Monday – Friday, or by completing our online referral form on the 'Getting Help' page.

You can check your drinking levels by completing the DrinkCoach Alcohol Test drinkcoach.org.uk/alcohol-test. This is an anonymous online survey to help you spot the signs of problem drinking.

Feedback from people who have attended sessions

  • "I have felt an immense change inside of myself after having these sessions. The tools and education provided around lifestyle and balance has helped me to achieve my goals. The Alcohol Support Worker was very kind to me, supportive, helpful and knowledgeable."
  • "I have found these sessions very beneficial. I felt it was very important to speak with someone on my wave length and the Alcohol Support Worker fitted the bill perfectly. He was caring, understanding and on the other end of the phone when ever I had a wobble."
