We’re delighted to announce that Clare Scott will join our trust as Chief Nursing Officer at the start of April.

Clare, who is currently Chief Nurse at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, will be taking over from Jo Lynch, who is retiring after 32 years with our trust.

Clare is a dual‑registered learning disability and mental health nurse, and has a strong background in clinical practice and professional leadership.  She has worked in senior nursing roles across systems and organisations, leading the Nursing Workforce Programme across North Central London and as Director of Nursing in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust. 

Clare said: “I am delighted to be joining Surrey and Borders Partnership as Chief Nursing Officer and truly grateful for the confidence placed in me to lead on quality, safety and the delivery of excellent care. It is a real privilege to take on this role.

"I am very much looking forward to working with colleagues across the trust, together with people who use our services and our partners to build on the strong commitment to putting people at the heart of care. I am particularly keen to support and work alongside our colleagues whose compassion, professionalism and dedication make such a difference every day.

“My focus will be to ensure everyone feels valued, listened to and empowered to work in partnership to do the very best for the people and communities we serve.”

Clare’s qualifications and awards include: Registered Learning Disability Nurse,  Registered Mental Health Nurse, B.Sc in Health and Social Care,  M.Cs in Clinical Forensic Psychiatry, Nye Bevan Executive Healthcare Leadership Award.
