Neurodevelopmental services
We offer assessments for people who may have neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). These conditions can affect how people communicate, behave, learn, and process the world around them.
We provide services for both adults and children. Please use the sections below to find the support that’s right for you or someone you care for.
Support for adults
We provide diagnostic assessments for adults who may have ASD or ADHD. These are different conditions that affect people in different ways.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
We offer specialist assessments to help adults find out if they are autistic. After diagnosis, we share information to help people and those around them access the right support outside our team.
Visit the NHS website for more information about autism
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
We provide assessments for ADHD and, if needed, can prescribe and monitor medication. We also give advice to help manage symptoms like difficulty focusing, staying organised, or feeling restless.
Our team also supports families, carers, and professionals with advice and information.

Moving from children's to adult services
If you or your child is approaching the age of 18, support will move from children’s services to adult services. This usually begins when someone is around 17 years and 6 months old.
If a young person is on the waiting list for an autism or ADHD assessment when they turn 18, their referral will be passed to the adult service. The adult team will keep the original referral date, so they won’t lose their place in the queue.
ADHD
If someone is already being supported for ADHD (for example, has started medication), they will be offered an appointment with the adult team as part of their move to adult services.
Autism
We offer diagnostic assessments for adults with autism. After diagnosis, we provide information to help people access the right support outside our service.
