Service Description
The Psychiatric Liaison service is a sub-speciality which provides psychiatric assessment and treatment to patients attending Royal Surrey County Hospital for physical or mental health problems. The team deals with the interface between physical and psychological health. The Royal Surrey psychiatric service was recently expanded in April 2018. With this expansion of the current service, the team will be able to provide increased support throughout the hospital, with the focus on improving the health outcomes of patients within the hospital with mental health needs.
Referral Process
All patients are referred by the medical team at Royal Surrey County Hospital
Referral Criteria
Adults aged 18 years and above with an identified mental health need.
