The Safe Haven in Aldershot will be moving to new premises in the same town in the early part of 2022. This follows a decision by the landlord to sell the existing Safe Haven building.
We have been working hard with our partners, Frimley CCG, and third sector providers Catalyst and Andover Mind to minimise any disruption the move may cause and had hoped we would be able to move directly from the existing Safe Haven building to the new, permanent one in Aldershot. However, there have been some unexpected delays outside of our control that mean this will not be possible. To ensure we continue to support people locally while works to the new permanent site are completed, we plan to move the Aldershot Safe Haven to a temporary location as an interim measure. The temporary location will also be in Aldershot. We will provide further information about the temporary move early in the New Year.
We would like to stress that the Safe Haven in Aldershot will continue to operate from Victoria Road as usual over the Christmas period and into the start of the New Year, offering both an in person and virtual service.
People visiting the Aldershot Safe Haven are being advised about these planned changes now. We will launch a communications campaign early in the New Year to provide more detailed information about the move and to raise awareness among people who use the service and stakeholders.
We will keep our Trust website updated with developments as they unfold.
