From Friday 1 April, we will provide the i-access drug and alcohol service in partnership with WDP. The service was previously delivered in partnership with Catalyst. This change follows a re-tender by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust by which WDP were successfully awarded the contract.
People who use services will not experience any change; they will continue to see the same team and appointments will still be held at our current locations. Referral pathways for the service will not change.
WDP is a national drug and alcohol charity with services in Bedfordshire, north west and south east England, and London. The charity has more than 30 years of experience supporting people around drug and alcohol issues. People who use the i-access service will also be able to benefit from WDP’s Capital Card – a scheme where people earn points for engaging in treatment that they can spend on positive activities in their community such as going to the cinema or the gym. You can find out more about WDP on their website: https://www.wdp.org.uk/
We thank Catalyst for all their work with the i-access service, and we will continue to work closely with their mental health and other drug and alcohol services across Surrey.
