Many Care Leavers are likely to spend Christmas on their own this year and won’t be one of the lucky ones getting spoilt on Christmas morning.

That's why we're running our Christmas Bag Project for the fourth year, and asking our staff to make a donation if they can. We always get such grateful feedback from the people who have received these bags so we want to continue with this lovely tradition despite the extra difficulties presented by coronavirus precautions.

The CAMHS Care Leavers Service supports young people who present with emotional and mental health problems with a particular focus of complex trauma.

  • Care Leavers are 25% more likely to be homeless than the general population
  • Care Leavers are up to 40 times more likely to be in the criminal justice system
  • 74% of Care Leavers report that they feel isolated some or all of the time

If you would like to donate any gifts for the young people we work with, aged 17 – 21+ girls and boys, we have created an Amazon wish list this year to make it a little easier and so it is more in line with regulations set out by the government. If posting gifts please send them by 23 November to: Emrald Greenidge, CAMHS Specialist Services, Ramsay House, Richmond Crescent, Epsom KT19 8PH.

Thank you to everyone who is able to make a donation, no matter how small.
