Take part in research

Taking part in research is one way you can help us improve health, care and support for people now and in the future.

We run a range of research studies and there may be opportunities for people who use our services, carers and other members of our communities to get involved.

Find a research study

Our current research studies cover different areas of mental and physical health.

Each study has its own requirements about who can take part. You can find out what a study involves, who it is for and how to express your interest on the individual study page.

Deciding whether to take part

Taking part in research is your choice.

If you are invited to take part in a study, the research team will give you information about the study and the opportunity to ask questions before you decide.

You do not have to take part if you do not want to.

Hearing about research opportunities

If you use our services, we may contact you about research studies that could be relevant to you.

If you do not want us to contact you about research opportunities, you can opt out at any time.

To opt out, contact our Research and Development team:

Telephone: 01372 216584
Email: research@sabp.nhs.uk

If you are interested in taking part

If you tell us you are interested in research, we will keep your details securely so that we can contact you when a suitable study becomes available.

If you have questions about why we keep your details or how they are used, please contact our research team. We will be happy to talk this through with you.
