Carer's Ward PackIf someone you care about is staying on one of our mental health inpatient wards, you may have questions about what to expect and how to stay involved. We’ve created a Carers Ward Pack to provide helpful information and support for you during this time.

Ask a member of staff for a copy.

What’s included in the pack?

The Carers Ward Pack covers key topics to help you understand and navigate your role while your family member or friend is on the ward. It includes:

  • What to expect from an inpatient admission
  • Ward routines, safety, and facilities
  • Your rights and what consent means
  • Information sharing and how we involve carers
  • Planning for discharge
  • Support available for you as a carer
  • Where to get further help and advice

The pack also explains how to contact the ward and who to speak to if you have questions or concerns.
