Biography

Having graduated from St Bartholowmew's medical college, Dr Townsend undertook a variety of medical and surgical trainee posts before specialising in psychiatry. He became a consultant in 2009 and worked in East Surrey as a community psychiatrist for 3 years. In 2012 he moved to The Meadows inpatient unit to lead the medical team. He also provides medical input to the psychiatric liaison service for older adults at Epsom General Hospital.
