What is the study about?

Do you support a friend or family member living with dementia? You could get involved with testing CareCoach, an online support package for family and carers of people living with dementia. It provides online learning combined with coaching support via email, video call and/or telephone.

Who can take part?

Anyone who has unpaid caring responsibilities for a person living with dementia.

What is involved?

CareCoach aims to provide you with knowledge, skills, and support to navigate your individual circumstances as you care for your person living with dementia.

You will choose the online modules you’d like to take. Each module begins with an introduction video featuring people in similar situations to you, talking about their experiences and offering useful tips for other people caring for someone living with dementia.

After watching the video, you can read more information and tips about a module’s theme. Then you will be invited to do some writing and thinking.

Finally, each module ends with a step-by-step plan that shows you how to apply the knowledge and skills from CareCoach to your caring journey.

Your personal coach will help you as you work through the course and give you feedback on the assignments you do.
