What is the study about?
The FAST study is exploring whether blood biomarkers, combined with online memory tests, can help detect and monitor the risk of developing dementia. It aims to improve early identification and tracking of cognitive decline.
Who can take part?
Individuals aged 50 or over who are either cognitively healthy, experiencing early signs of cognitive impairment (diagnosed or self-reported), or have a diagnosis of dementia.
What is involved?
There will be a blood test and an online assessment at the first visit, an online assessment at 6 months, and then a repeat blood test and the online assessment again at 1 year.
