In 2018, we took the decision to decommission Court Hill House, our social care residential service in Chipstead for adults with a learning disability, physical disability and dementia. This decision affected seven people who lived there.

The decision was made because, despite improvements to the building to make it safer and more accessible and to ensure it promoted people’s dignity, we increasingly found that the environment did not provide the right surroundings for the people who lived there.

We are pleased to share that, through working in partnership with Surrey County Council and the London Borough of Croydon, we have supported all individuals affected by the decision to find alternative placements and as of 03 January 2018 we have vacated the building.
