What is the study about?
We are looking at a new support programme for people who have type 2 diabetes and a mental illness. The programme aims to help people to manage their conditions.
Who can take part?
We are inviting adults to take part who have been diagnosed with: Type 2 diabetes and a mental illness such as: Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, Severe depression, Psychosis.
What is involved?
Taking part includes assessments and random allocation to the DIAMONDS programme or your usual care and treatment. The DIAMONDS programme aims to help you manage your diabetes and mental health in addition to the care you normally receive. You will be provided sessions with a DIAMOND coach.
