Connect is our Trust’s network for colleagues who experience emotional and psychological needs – for example, mental ill health, neurodiversity, or trauma – that may affect them in the workplace. Connect recognises the value of all lived experiences, whether past or present, long-term or short-term, diagnosed or undiagnosed, and seeks to offer an inclusive space for colleagues to feel heard and seen in the workplace.

We aim for Connect to provide:

  • A safe space for people to share and network with others who have had similar experiences
  • Enable staff to use their voice to inform policy changes and the staff wellbeing strategy
  • Create a presence for staff with lived experience within our Trust and develop an open culture that values and respects lived experience
