Award Categories


The categories for this year's awards are listed below. Please read them all carefully before choosing the right one for your nomination. 

You can nominate an Employee of the Year in any of our different divisions listed below. The divisions are: are: Community Mental Health (adults); Hospitals and Specialist Services (adults), Services for People with Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity (adults), Children and Young People's Services and Corporate. 

People with Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity

This award is to recognise anyone working within the Learning Disability and Neurodiversity division, including nurses, doctors, therapists, allied health professionals, operational staff and support staff.

Community Mental Health 

This award is to recognise anyone working within the Community Mental Health division, including nurses, doctors, therapists, allied health professionals, operational staff and support staff.

Hospitals and Specialist Services

This award is to recognise anyone working within the Hospitals and Specialist Services division, including nurses, doctors, therapists, allied health professionals, operational staff and support staff.

Children and Young People's Services 

This award is to recognise anyone working within the Children and Young People’s division, including nurses, doctors, therapists, allied health professionals, operational staff and support staff.

Corporate 

This award is to recognise non-clinical staff in bands 1-7, working in posts across the trust in a corporate team.

This award is to recognise clinicians in any directorate across the trust. All registered staff are eligible, in all bands, including nurses, doctors and therapists. 

This award is to recognise clinical support staff working in bands 4 and lower, in any directorate across the trust. 

This category is open to non-registered staff in those bands, who support clinical work. This includes operational staff and peer support workers in any directorate across the trust. 

This award is to recognise non-clinical staff working in bands 5 and lower, in a clinical setting. 

This category is for administrative or clerical staff, ancillary staff or similar, working in a clinical setting.

This award is for any individual or group who has worked in partnership with the Trust to help it achieve its aims and values. This may include innovation and creative thinking and nominations will include volunteers, charities, voluntary organisations and social care partners. 

This individual will have the ability to inspire others and promote quality and equality in all areas of  work whilst listening to the needs of people who use services, carers and staff. It is open to any individual in any directorate across the trust.

Teams and individuals must look outside their own team for this nomination. Effective teams work together creatively, effectively and efficiently, respecting the abilities and views of all team members whilst listening to those they serve. They also interact helpfully and cooperatively with other teams demonstrating a shared purpose. This is open to any team in any directorate across the trust.

This year, we introduce a special award. To be given to an individual carer or person with lived experience who has assisted a service or care for an individual or group, through any means, including (but not limited to) feedback, suggestion or personal contribution of any type.
