We would like to reassure people who use our services, their families and carers that our Trust will be operating as normal on 15 and 20 December 2022, the dates of the planned strike action by the Royal College of Nursing. Please continue to attend any appointments with us as planned unless you have been contacted to reschedule.
GP services are not affected by the strike action and neither are ambulance services, although some of them, including SECAMB, may strike on 21 and 28 December.
On days where there is strike action, the public has been asked to only call 999 if it is a medical or mental health emergency (when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk). Where the situation is not life-threatening, alternative support will be available through NHS 111 online or through the NHS 111 helpline, and where possible, it is advised that you arrange alternative transport.
