The Surrey High Intensity Partnership Programme (SHIPP) is no longer operational, as of 6 January 2024.

SHIPP was provided in partnership with Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Surrey Police. The service supported a small number of people with severe, enduring mental ill-health who frequently used emergency services such as the police, ambulance and A&E departments.

People on SHIPP were also under the care of the Surrey and Borders Partnership’s Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS).

Surrey and Borders Partnership’s teams continue to provide care for people who were on the SHIPP programme, along with other specialist services required to meet an individual’s needs, and will continue to work closely with Surrey Police.
