On Thursday, 15 February, young people living in Surrey along with their families and carers are invited to attend a free event focused on mental health and wellbeing in Surrey. The event will take place at Rosebery School, Epsom from 10am-4pm.

The Surrey Spring Wellbeing Festival offers attendees the opportunity to talk to a wide range of experts working in different mental health services provided by the NHS and third sector organisations. The festival will include a treasure hunt to find wellbeing-themed prizes, performances from local young people and arts and crafts activities.

The festival is hosted by Amplify, which represents the voices of children and young people on the leadership board for Mindworks Surrey, the emotional wellbeing and mental health service for children and young people in Surrey. Mindworks Surrey is led by our Trust in partnership with other NHS and third sector providers. Amplify advises and guides the Mindworks Surrey board on operational issues to make sure that the services provided are the best they can be in meeting the needs of children and young people.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions about local mental health services and how they are run, during focus group sessions run by Mindworks and Amplify.

You do not need to register to attend the festival. There will be a quiet hour designed for people with sensory sensitivities from 10-11am.

If you would like any further information on the event, please email: amplify.mindworks@sabp.nhs.uk.
