SPIRITUAL NEEDS ASSESSMENT TRAINING (Members of Staff only)

Spiritual Needs Assessment training is designed to help mental health professionals identify the spiritual needs of people using services.  Spirituality can offer real benefits for many people with mental health problems. The training will increase the confidence of mental health professional to address the spiritual and religious needs of people using services. The assessment informs a treatment plan that identifies religious or spiritual needs and problems, role of pastoral and spiritual intervention, and activities recommended. At Surrey and Borders assessing the spiritual needs of people using services is fundamental to providing effective spiritual care, this is the reason spiritual needs assessment should be considered as part of every mental health assessment.
