Many people who suffer from mental health problems or live with a learning disability have spiritual needs.

These needs are often expressed by questions such as:

  • Why am I suffering like this?
  • What’s the purpose of life?
  • Is there a God?
  • Why can’t I feel God’s presence?
  • What about evil spirits?
  • How can I be forgiven?

The Department of Pastoral and Spiritual Care is a group of trained people able to work with your spiritual need’s cross boundaries of Faith or not and practising or not. We have links and can access specific religious community leaders if that is the support you need. The Department is available to provide spiritual and religious assistance to people using our service, their Families, Carers and members of SABP staff.
