Service Description

The Managing Emotions Programme supports people struggling with fluctuating, intense emotions, including people with complex needs and traits of personality disorder.

Access to the programme is via GP Integrated Mental Health Service teams in Surrey, or Mental Health Integrated Community Service teams in north east Hampshire, who work with your local GP.

No formal diagnosis of an illness is needed to join the programme, which comprises three different courses of increasing intensity. The courses are standalone and people can choose which course they want to attend. You do not need to complete all of the courses, nor do you need to complete them in any particular order.

All courses have been co-produced and are co-delivered with people who have lived experience of difficulties associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder.

A further course is available specifically for carers of people struggling with intense emotions. Carers can refer themselves to the course by completing this booking form.

See our course prospectus for more details.
