The Children in Care and Post-Order (CIC & PO) team in Northeast Hampshire officially merged with our trust’s New Leaf service on Monday, 1 December - strengthening local support for children and young people.

The newly formed New Leaf NEH will operate as an extension of our existing New Leaf service, which supports the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people who have experienced trauma or attachment difficulties. This includes those in care or post-order, such as adopted children, those under Special Guardianship Orders, unaccompanied asylum seekers and care leavers.

New Leaf NEH will continue to work closely with the Northeast Hampshire teams under Frimley ICB and will not be part of Mindworks Surrey.

The CIC & PO Team has been part of the Community Team within our Children and Young People’s Services (CYPS) contract in Northeast Hampshire, which began in February 2024 with funding from Frimley ICB.

This attachment-and trauma-informed service follows the THRIVE Framework, and its clinicians are trained in evidence-based therapeutic approaches that help children and families strengthen emotional connections, process past traumatic experiences, and access the right support at the right time.

Emina Atic-Lee and Evy Karadimitri said: “We’re delighted to welcome colleagues in Northeast Hampshire into the New Leaf Service. Bringing everyone together means we can share knowledge and experience, and offer the best possible support to children and families.

"New Leaf NEH will continue working closely with local CYPS teams and will also benefit from being part of the wider New Leaf Service, which provides additional clinical and operational support.”
