Our Trust has topped a national survey of mental health and learning disability services, with patients rating it highest for privacy, dignity and wellbeing.

The Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment (PLACE) survey is based on feedback from people who use services and focuses on how well buildings support care, including cleanliness, privacy, food, and how services support people with dementia and disabilities.

Our Trust scored 98.9% in how well supports the privacy, wellbeing and dignity of people using its services. The trust is also the second-highest scoring mental health trust nationally for how well it promotes privacy and dignity, achieving a score of 99 per cent.

Andy Erskine, Deputy Chief Operating Officer, said: “These results speak volumes about the pride our colleagues take in their work. A clean, safe and accessible environment is a vital part of people’s care experience, and I’m delighted that those who use our services have recognised the standard we’re delivering.”

Our Trust also achieved strong results across all other assessment areas:

  • 99% for cleanliness across patient and public areas
  • 98% for condition, appearance and maintenance of buildings, including fixtures and fittings
  • 97% for quality and choice of food and dining experience
  • 98% on how helpful the environment is for people living with dementia
  • 100% for disability access and support
