People from across Surrey and North East Hampshire turned out for our trust’s free annual RecoveryFest last Wednesday, 6 August, in Guildford. The annual festival aims to raise awareness of the wide range of mental health and wellbeing support available locally. RecoveryFest is hosted by our Recovery College, which offers free adult courses to help people manage their mental health. Attendees had the opportunity to talk to mental health experts from over 25 local NHS services and charities.
There was a wide range of stalls, manned by mental health experts from Surrey and Borders Partnership and other local organisations, including Surrey Minds, Mary Frances Trust, Catalyst, Action for Carers, Sport in Mind, WithYou NHS Talking Therapies, Youth Counselling Service, Surrey Minds, Citizens' Advice, Centre for Psychology, and many more.
Nina Clayton Broom, Recovery College Service Manager said:
“This was our fifth annual RecoveryFest and it’s wonderful to see this event continue to grow, reflecting the hard work, determination and development of the Recovery College.
“Thank you to everyone who came along and helped to make the day such a success.”
