Ali Khan

Ali Khan, Senior Medical Education Manager and Chair of our Trust’s Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Network has been recognised on GEMS: Hidden in Plain Sight (75@75). The list recognises 75 health and social care professionals from Black, Asian and other minoritised backgrounds, nominated by their peers, who are making a difference in the sector but are often hidden in plain sight.

Ali was nominated by his peers and secured a place on the 75@75 list published last week due to his numerous achievements, notably founding the NHS BAME Staff Network Chairs Forum and being recognised by LinkedIn as a ‘Top Leadership Development Voice’.

The GEMS 75@75 list was launched by the Seacole Group and Colourful Healthcare to celebrate the NHS's 75 birthday and honour those showing excellence in their work, benefiting their organisations, patient care, community and diversity initiatives.

Ali said: “Being on the GEMS 75@75 list, specifically the Mary Seacole List for the top 75 NHS BAME Healthcare Leaders, is a significant accomplishment for both me and our Trust, highlighting the pure dedication, expertise of promoting equality, diversity, inclusion, belonging and its impact on real lives.

My simple mantra is: 'In a world where you can be anything, be kind and compassionate and in order to do what you love, love what you do.'”
