Service Description

The CMHRSs are integrated health and social care teams with a single team manager. The teams focus specifically on adults with severe and enduring mental health problems. These multidisciplinary/agency teams are based within the community but work closely with all components of statutory services and a range of independent and voluntary sector agencies to provide a cohesive package of care. The CMHRS serves the area of Tandridge. Referral is via your GP.

Referral Process

We accept referrals from GPs, primary care mental health services, IAPT Talking Therpaies providers and other statutory agencies and services.


Referrers: ** Between October 2018 and April 2019 we are gradually mobilising a Single Point of Access (SPA) for Mental Health services where one central team will receive and triage all CMHRS referrals. 

When we are ready to fully launch the service (expected April 2019) we will publish new SPA contact details to refer directly to the team.

Until then, you should contact your local team in the usual way to refer someone to our services or for advice about a referral.

Referral Criteria

Adults aged 18 to 65 suffering from acute or severe and enduring mental health problems including personality disorder.

Waiting Times

28 days for routine appointments, 5 days for urgent appointments and emergency referrals will be assessed on the same day.
