What are Development and Support Slots?
We know that creating a trauma-informed organisation or team, or even being more trauma-informed as an individual can sometimes come with questions and challenges. The development and support slots aim to support individual staff and/or teams progress in that journey, wherever they are starting from.
The slots will vary from 30 minutes to an hour and may require follow up appointments. The purpose and function of the slot can vary but could include:
- Space to reflect on what they are doing so far and how things are progressing
- Space to ask more direct questions related to a trauma-informed approach (or care)
- Space to think through challenges and find some solutions
- A coaching style to support staff vs sometimes offering direct guidance.
