Our Trust has achieved fantastic results in a national NHS survey which assesses people’s levels of satisfaction with care, cleanliness, and food in healthcare settings.

We scored significantly above the national average in several categories in the Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) survey for 2022. Led by NHS England, the survey is an annual assessment of the non-clinical aspects of the patient environment in both NHS and private healthcare settings. As well as looking into standards of cleanliness and quality of food, the survey also looks at whether health and care providers are meeting the needs of people with dementia or with a disability.

Our Trust delivered top scores in the following areas:

  • More than 99% of people with a disability who responded to the survey were satisfied with their care at the Trust, well above the national average figure of 82.5%
  • Over 97% of people with dementia who responded to the survey were satisfied with the care they received at the Trust, in comparison with a national average of 80.6% satisfaction
  • Surrey and Borders Partnership is the only Trust to score 100% in levels of cleanliness
  • The Trust scored 97.9% in supporting the dignity and wellbeing of people who using services
  • It also scored 99.3% in the appropriate condition, appearance and maintenance of buildings category
  • 92% of people responding to the survey were satisfied with the food and drink served by the Trust
