To ensure people who use our services, and their medications, are assessed for the appropriate allocation of medicine compliance aids. Trust-wide Medicines Compliance Aids (MCA) Procedure to provide guidance for the assessment, initiation, dispensing and ongoing management of Medicines Compliance Aids (MCAs) within Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. It aims to support safe, person-centred decision-making regarding the use of MCAs, ensuring that any intervention is tailored to the individual's needs, abilities and circumstances.

This policy applies to the agreed working arrangements between Surrey County Council, the 6 Surrey CCGs which includes the Farnham element of NEHF CCG for people who are entitled to aftercare services under Section 117 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
